Your course officially opens Tuesday, January 4th but you can start whenever you wish. Please review the following information prior to class.
Add your profile picture — please use a real face photo! Login and click “Edit Photo” beneath the gray square at the upper left of your dashboard to upload your image. Having trouble logging in? Please email us right away.
Take a few minutes to set your goals and tell us a little bit more about yourself. Once logged in you will see your dashboard. Once you start your course, click the "Goals" tab to set your goals. Please complete this entire section and we’ll do our best to help you reach the goals you’ve defined.
Basic equipment is needed throughout the course; we recommend having the following on hand:
- 6 to 10-inch chef’s knife and large cutting board
- Sturdy sauté pan and standard pot set (preferably stainless steel but not required)
- Set of 8 small bowls to show the ingredients for your assignments (they can be various sizes and do not need to match)
- Set of stainless steel or glass bowls, ranging from small to large in size
Live Events — Rouxbe hosts free weekly live events, and you may receive emails about them. You are welcome to attend any live event, but please keep in mind that the Live Events are optional. They are NOT a requirement for your course.

As a reminder, this course is self-paced and available to you 24/7— so you can begin and pause at any time. If you are taking the Ultimate version of the course, count on spending a few hours a week to stay on pace.
