There are two ways to reset a graded assessment. Both require an instructor to approve the assessment reset.
Option 1: Instructor Resets the Task (Fasted/Easiest)
If a student wants to redo a task for a better grade, instructors can access the graded assessment from the Course Instructor Admin and reset the task. This process is immediate and does not require Rouxbe staff to intervene. This process will only work if the student has not already submitted a Rouxbe Appeal (described in Option 2 below).
Course Instructor Admin Assessment Reset
Once the task has been reset, the student must return to the task page and click RETAKE, which erases the previous submission.
IMPORTANT NOTE:
Keep in mind that resetting an assessment only works if the course or lesson is "In Progress."
If a student has failed (or passed) a course, you must reactivate their course enrollment so the student can redo the assignment. See this article: How to Reactivate a Student's Failed Course

Option 2: Rouxbe Appeal
Upon completing the assessment the student will see an option to appeal the grade by requesting a retake. Submitting the appeal sends a request to a Rouxbe instructor to consider resetting the assessment. The instructor either denies or approves the request from which the student will be notified on the assessment page or via email. This process may take up to 48 hours.
Step 1: Request a Retake
Step 2: Submit the Appeal Request
Once the Rouxbe instructor grants the appeal, the student will find the retake options listed under the Test Retakes button on their Course Home page.
On the task page, the student clicks the RETAKE ASSESSMENT button to erase the previous results and redo the task.
