There are two ways to reset a graded assessment. Both require an instructor to approve the assessment reset.
Option 1: Instructor Resets the Task (Fasted/Easiest)
If a student wants to redo a task for a better grade, instructors can access the graded assessment from the Course Instructor Admin and reset the task. This process is immediate and does not require Rouxbe staff to intervene. This process will only work if the student has not submitted a Rouxbe Supreme Court Appeal.

Once the task has been reset, the student must return to the task page and click RETAKE, which erases the previous submission.

Option 2: Rouxbe Supreme Court Appeal
Upon completing the assessment the student will see an option to appeal the grade by sending an appeal to the Rouxbe Supreme Court. Submitting the appeal sends a request to a Rouxbe instructor to consider resetting the assessment. The instructor either denies or approves the request from which the student will be notified on the assessment page or via email. This process may take up to 48 hours.
Step 1: Click the Rouxbe Supreme Court Appeal Button
Step 2: Submit the form for a Rouxbe Supreme Court Appeal

When you reset a student's task, the most recent grade will be erased completely. If a student has used the Appeal method, where the Rouxbe chef instructors grant appeals and allow the task to be redone, you will be able to see the history of the submissions. The Rouxbe Appeal method is only available for one retake per task.
If you look at the student's Assessable Tasks page, you can view the history of submissions for a particular task. So we recommend checking the History before you reset an assignment.
We highly recommend that students review the unit and use the flashcard practices before taking a quiz. It seems many students are simply not well prepared before going into a quiz.
