How to reset a student's password

Due to FERPA regulations, Rouxbe's password reset messages are blocked for your students to protect their privacy. So you must assign a temporary password for a student who forgot their password. 

Just click on the class name the student is in, select Class Settings and then select Reset Passwords.

Create a Temporary Password: Next, locate and select the student's name from the list. Scroll down to the Temporary Password option and click Submit.

The student and temporary password will appear at the top of the list. Be sure to read the "Important" directions that appear in the banner message above. Then send the temporary password to the student. The student will be required to reset their password upon logging in. 

If you want to print the temporary password instead of emailing it, select Download as CSV (a printable table).
